The Wind Beneath My Wings

Just a quick announcement about a new song I added to my music list… The Wind Beneath My Wings - a recording from an old MIDI of the Week archive song. You’ll find it for your listening pleasure under my “Singles” area.

Also - as a side note - it’s already December again - and a whole year has passed once again… Christmas songs? Ahhh… yeah… I thought that I’d try and talk myself into doing some this year… Maybe? Likely? We’ll see… I’ve actually started a few tunes that haven’t made it very far… But I might surprise myself.

Streaming Enabled - Mostly

I was able to discover a few fixes in the music scripts that I use here to bring back the streaming of music online here. One problem still to solve is that if you choose to seek in the file while it’s playing - you’ll lose the seek time displayed in your music player. There’s some odd HTTP header stuff going on… I’ll keep looking into it…

Hosting Move

After spending more than a week banging my head against the support teams with Godaddy.com over the poor performance of my DVM hosting, I’ve moved to a new hosting provider, Media Temple. The transition was actually pretty smooth. So far things look to be actually better than with DVM hosting… So we’ll see.

Only one item didn’t make it through the transition - streaming music, including lofi versions. You’ll only be able to download the full CD quality MP3 files for now until I can get some help from the script developer.

What? You want some new music as well? Okay, okay - it’s on its way. Look for some new music out soon…

Updated MP3 Files

I’ve uploaded all new copies of the Christmas MP3 files last night. I was listening to some of them and discovered that a few of them had crackles and other noise in them. I encoded them from some of the CDs and perhaps a few of them were damaged. This time around I took them off of the original images so you shouldn’t have any problems.

Thoughts On New Christmas Music

Greetings again! As you have probably already figured out - it’s been quite some time since any new music has been brought up on this Web site. But I think that I’m going to try and get some new music out for Christmas this year. At least one track! (I can’t keep blaming goofing off and working too much, now can I??)

So I know that some of you are musicians yourself. I’ve been quite fortunate to have Greg Wiseman and Brad Sayles help out in the past with some contributions. Is there anybody else out there that might be interested in creating some new Christmas songs or redoing some Christmas classics? If you are, please drop a comment down below and let me know if you’re interested along with some links to some of your own music.

We might just get some snow this year after all! (I mean… music!)

All Is New Again…

Welcome back to The Music Shoppe. I’ve resurrected my old site in an attempt to push myself into getting some new music out and about. So far the only things new on this site is the way it looks! I’m slowly going to be getting my old music and files back into operation while at the same time bringing some new music to life.
